"Friday
at EarthWorks was the best day of my life!"
--- Third grade student
A crisis
is coming to a crescendo in the wetlands. A flood has washed away
surface soils and drastic erosion is occurring. Excited young
scientists gameplan solutions to save the ecosystem.
Student scientists are prepared through 40 hours of classroom
curriculum to immerse themselves in "on-the-job-training."
They explore 30 different scientific careers in a full-day experience
at the EarthWorks facility. Children
in 3rd and 4th grades become environmental scientists in EarthWorks,
where they work together in four lifelike habitats filled with
live animals, dramatic natural events and state-of-the-art scientific
equipment. They use these tools and their knowledge to rebalance
the ecosystems.
